Horseback Riding in Patagonia Arizona
Horseback Riding
Experience Arizona, the Way It Was Meant to Be Seen
At Circle Z Ranch, horseback riding isn't just another activity. It's the heart of the experience.
Since 1926, we've helped guests of every experience level explore thousands of acres of Southern Arizona's most breathtaking landscapes. Whether you're riding for the first time or have spent a lifetime in the saddle, our experienced wranglers carefully match you with the right horse for a ride that's comfortable, memorable, and uniquely yours.

Ride Through:
- Rolling grasslands
- Colorful canyons
- Mountain foothills
- Along the banks of Sonoita Creek
- Trails only accessible on horseback
No Experience? No Problem.
We'll teach you everything you need to feel confident before you hit the trail.
Meet Your Perfect Riding Partner
More Than 80 Exceptional Horses
Every unforgettable ride begins with the right horse.
Our wranglers take the time to learn about your riding experience, comfort level, and personality before pairing you with one of our carefully trained horses. The result is a safe, rewarding ride that feels natural from the very first day.
Our horses are ranch-raised, expertly cared for, and spend their off-season roaming hundreds of acres of pasture. Even after retirement, they remain part of the Circle Z family.

The Corrals
The corrals are where every adventure begins.
Guests are welcome to stop by before and after rides to meet the horses, watch the wranglers at work, or simply soak in the rhythm of ranch life.
Many guests arrive early to groom their horse before heading out, while afternoons often end with one of Circle Z's favorite traditions—watching the herd return from pasture

You're in good hands.
